I have several empty mini beer kegs, which I have started repurposing as tabletop lamps...
However...
One lamp is much like any other lamp and I am sure that somebody could come up with something a little more...melodic...!
A canjo - or beer keg bass - or whatever? Any good ideas will be appreciated.

Thanks Richard - I'll have a pint in your honour next time I'm emptying another keg; cheers mate...!

One string beer keg bass is my vote. Easily built using a wash tub bass design as the starting point.
Yes, that is another option as the top only has a hole about 1" diameter.
for drums . i'd just cut them different sizes .. you'd get 2 out of a keg (if the top is workable)
Cutting the keg in half lengthways might well work for a voilocello or any other stringed instrument.
Amps did cross my mind - but having not built one yet, it seems a little daunting. As for drums, I think partial filling with different amounts of sand or whatever might work to make a good set - and the tap holes would be good places for mic-ing the whole thing up.
Alot of folks make amps outta these , not much else . so a guit, or a drum, set would be cool .
How about a beer keg Violoncello da Spalla?
