Cigar Box Alternatives

I am getting increasing demand for  my workshops making simple cigar box diddley bows. in UK at least the cigar boxes are getting harder to find and more expensive.  I have had some success using cardboard boxes intended for computer keyboards. Anybody got other suggestions?

Thanks for your comments Wolf...I must apologise to all for the spell checker on my ipad which stubbornly refuses to accept what I type and insists on saying what it thinks I meant to say...In my reply to Ian I was, of course, referring to building a Canjo not a 'cannon',...DOH!

Hi everyone.

Glad to be here. I am Phil Thomas from Penarth, near Cardiff in South Wales, UK. Approaching 60 years of age of which 45 have been as a musician, singer and storyteller performing all over the world.
