"Check out the "line 6 micro spider" . sweet multi use amp , lots of effects , big sound , even has a separate dedicated line amp on top for mic . built in tuner too. 10 pounds of fun in a 5 pound bag ;-)"

Buskers, what are you using for an amp?

I’m on the hunt for an amp, I’m still on the fence. right now I’m going back and forth between a used Roland cube street and a new cube mini, but I’m really open to any and all suggestions. ive also looked into the pignose amps but I have a lot of questions about emmy budget is $200 but I *could* bump up to 300.I do want to be able to have good distortion as I’m not going to exclusivity play blues/bluegrass (in fact one particular thing I’m wanting to do is play “metal” ukulele). onboard…See More

Ok so I’m stepping up my playing and want to move into an amp. currently have a 4 string fretless slide CBC, 3 string shovel, ukulele, banjo and banjolele (the last 2 aren’t amplified...yet)so I originally wanted a Roland street cube since I’ve seen Justin Johnson using one to great success, but 1, I don’t want to pay that much and 2, I like hand built if possible (kinda seems to fit with the bluegrass/poor man theme eh?)ive debates the Pignose amp but I’ve been seeing quality issues with the…See More
