As for the ancient history that is the year 2014, It was good to me overall..
Got the home studio up and running. As a result, I managed to release not one but two CDs of three string CBG mayhem. Twenty two songs in all.

Four months in the works. It's done! My first cigar box guitar exclusive album. There were two 3 string CBGs I used in the recording. There were many cheap beers, cheap harmonicas, half broken microphones, and a 32 year old saxophone that gave it's last breath making this happen.

Bill, I do make my own cookie tin banjos, most tins work but the older ones are made with thicker tin and they ring a lot better. I have also heard old film canisters work well also but I have not tried any yet. Otherwise I just make 3 or 4 stringed ones like a cbg. I do like to tune the high string way up like a banjo so I can play claw hammer though. But I did not use that type on the last cd. Hope this helps and thanks for listening to my music....matt
