#9 Cuesta Rey Cigar Box

8-string Black Widow. I used 4 higher pairs of 12-string guitar. Bridge and nut are rosewood, neck is white oak. Great octave sounds!

"Don't call me Joe. ;) Glad you have the DGB figured out. I have kind of moved on to more DGBE, but I like a bunch of tunings."

Profile Information

How did you learn about Cigar Box Nation?
When I started to build CBG and searched the web for tips and ideas.
How many instruments have you built so far?
Three (two cigar boxes, one license plate). And four more is in planning or building process. There will be more cigar boxes, license plates, hub caps, oil cans, tennis racket diddley bows etc.
What do you find most interesting about cigar box guitars? (If you do not enter something meaningful here, your membership may be rejected).
Self-made instrument is the most valuable thing for its maker. This is something you cannot explain. It starts already with looking around with open eyes to find ideas, moving on to planning phase, searching parts and finally to build. And create. This is creation. And ... they look beautiful! This is positive addiction! When I'm in CBG building process, I feel myself better person and world becoming better place to be.
