A little about me ...

I grew up in the south (Tampa Bay Area, Florida), have traveled and lived all over the world (I even spent a year in The Peoples Republic of China!) and now reside in Brooklyn. I work at the world-famous Highline Ballroom in Manhattan, where I am the in-house Electrician and Senior Lighting Director.

Main job:
Lighting Designer-Director, Technical Director, Electrics, Lasers, Production Manager, Event Planner/Coordinator, Production/Tour/Event Consultant. From large one-off outdoor Festivals and tours, Broadway-type shows and Hotel Ballroom Corporate Events and Theme Parties to Club or Theme Park Design/Installs.

Other roles:
Just about anything but climbing or digital audio consoles. To wit: Design, Production/Tour Management, Outdoor Staging/Steel, Lighting/Technical Director, Master Production Electrician, including all types/sizes of Generators, Moving Light Programmer/Tech, Spot-op, I can also do Video gear set-ups/production and lighting, Can tech/trouble-shoot (and quite often fix) just about any gear used in production, Especially lighting gear, Can patch Audio/Monitors, Can set-up/tech most any and all Back Line, I am a Grand Piano/Organ mover and a Drum Tech, I have extensive experience operating all types of Fork Lifts and Genies.

Over 29 years in the biz. No more truck ramps though (pushing, etc.) Sorry, I'm a geezer whose busted his ass all his days and now my knees and ankles are giving me grief! I can work 12-14 hour days, no problem, but stairs and ramps are really hard on me. A word of advice to all lighting/stagehand types: NEVER run up/down arena/stadium steps with large amounts of soca-pex/feeder cable on your shoulders and never repeatedly jump off of decks to the floor ... trust me, you will pay for it later!

"Somebody get me a Doctor!" - Diamond Dave

I have now become enthralled with CBG's and am in the midst of gathering boxes, necks and a s#!t-ton of tools in my modest Brooklyn loft so that I can start making my own!

Being in "The Biz", I wish to build not only traditional and Diddly-Bow types, but high-end, "road-able" models as well. I'm really excited about this new adventure and have purchased one of Big Daddy's 5-strings so'z I can get a feel for what I'm getting into. He has been really cool and extremely helpful in getting me started with advice and whatnot. I highly recommend his work and only hope I can make him proud with some of my work.

After I get time to "shrink" down some of my pix (I think 10 megs per pic is just TOO SMALL!), I will upload some pix of my lighting work and if you want to see my resume or read some of my writing (I'm trying to become a writer, but am as yet unpublished aside from the internet), stop by my website: www.GoJeffy.com

It's totally free and I'm sorry ladies, but there ain't a nekkid pitcher a'me to be found anywhere on it!

(Hysterical laughter)

Big Luv to all!

Hello,
I have started a CBN group entitled, "How to Play CBG" It is my hope and intention to encourage the "Wealth of Talent" here on the Nation to share their knowledge and skill to further the CBG movement. Please consider contributing an instructional "video" link to this group. If you are a viewer seeking instruction, please feel free to write. If you have any suggestions or know other players who you think may want to post instructional "video" links, please contact me. Thank you for your interest and support, Keni Lee
