"Yes, you would definitely want all of the magnets under the string for the maximum output? Farther away from the Bridge will give you a warmer sound & closer to the Bridge will give a brighter sound? You may want a warmer, chunkier sound if…"

Diddley bow pickup mounting

Hello, I am making a single string diddley bow. I have a P90 pickup I am gonna use. I see some pickups mounted lengthwise on the neck, have seen a video with lengthwise pickup and it sounded good. I have seen videos with pickup going across that sounded good also. I am going for a heavy metal type sound. Which way should I mount it? Does it matter? ThanksJackSee More

Holding the CBG

Hello,I am new to CBG or guitars in general. I notice in the videos of people playing that when sitting most people dont use a strap. I see them take their hand off the neck and the guitar seems to be balanced,or they say you shouldnt support the guitar with the neck. My guitar looks similar to most I see but it is not really close to being able to balance resting on my leg. Right now I am having troubles getting comfortable holding my guitar. Any tips out there? Thanks for any help.See More
