"Hi again Tom, I just read your post again. If a carbon fibre rod or tube was used it would need to be of a size that would resist bending. I always use flat bar that is higher than it is wide, if it is carbon fibre or steel. If I can bend whatever…"

"yes Tom I agree, if adjustment is needed its nearly  the same amount work for a reinforcing bar as for and adjustable truss rod. Taff"

"Hi Taffy. If a simple rod were to be used, I would lean toward your carbon fiber rod for stiffness. LIght, but very strong. In the end however, If you have to carve a channel for a threaded rod or a carbon fiber rod, my thinking is that you might as…"

"A standard guitar runs strings tuned from E2 to E4. A baritone ukulele runs strings similar to the bottom four strings on a guitar (D3~E4). If you tuned to G2-D3-G3) that would give you a tone deeper than a baritone uke and slightly higher than the…"

For a long time my desire to play the guitar has been almost non-existent but by a strange route through board games and science fiction, of all things (long story), I found an unknown love for Roots, Outlaw Country, Bluegrass etc. and saw all these cool instruments and I realized that my own perception of what a guitar is was extremely limited.
And I need to do something with my hands.
This seems to fulfill all desires in one well-sounding package.
