"intonation... this is VERY VERY important and positioning is CRITICAL. if it's off even by a little it will sound OFF !! The goal of saddle positioning is to get your 12 fret harmonic to line up EXACTLY over the 12th fret"
"I have built over two hundred CBG's using every type and style of neckwood imaginable...and.... I have yet to have a neck bow on me. True that I only build three string CBG's and typically tune down to EBE. "
I really liked your The Versatility of the "3 String Cigar Box Guitar" video. I'm curious about the nylon string gdg guitar example. Looks like it would fit in a airline carry on bag. Not much info out there on using nylon strings with 3-stringers. What scale length and strings were you using? I know how to figure tensions out with steel strings, but I have no clue with nylon. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Hi Del. Just wanted to say I find your videos really inspirational. Just watched your latest YouTube video on your 3 string CBG. You mentioned it's fretted in the E minor scale. Forgive my ignorance please but is that the 3, 5, 6, 7, 10, 11 (for the middle string blue note) & octave? You're inspiring me to try a ruler neck and the same fretting.
Please, please keep up the awesomeness. I'm a fan already!
