Hi my name is Charlie, I'm an academic in training and professional musician living in Newcastle Upon Tyne, U.K.. I'm undertaking a Music Degree, part time, at Newcastle University, and work full time as a private music teacher and performer. I am also an apprentice luthier at Cigarbox Sounds. I post private builds and blog entry's, talking about my dissertation, of which will be about Cigar Box Guitars. - As an ethnomusicologist, I find the Cigarbox Guitar's, and other Cigarbox Instruments (Fiddles, Banjo's, etc.), rich history and development from simple instruments used to perform early blues &/ Spiritulas to the current Cigarbox Revolution fasanting. I also love how building these instruments opens up the world of Luthering to novice craftsmen, like myself. 🎸🎻
