How did you learn about Cigar Box Nation?: Internet search

How many instruments have you built so far?: 3

What do you find most interesting about cigar box guitars? (If you do not enter something meaningful here (at least one sentence long), your membership may be rejected as a spam/bot fake account).: I'm fascinated with the history of folk art instruments. The Cigar Box Guitar, to me, is a genuine roots type of instrument. I consider them to be playable art. To be able to craft, play and share my own creations along with the inspiration of other creators is a privilege.

Here is a recent conversation I had with some one interested in one of my Cigar Box Guitars. Some people don’t appreciate art.

Him: can you make me one for 100 bucks.

Me: No.

Him: Well, how much for an electric one?

Me: They start at 250 dollars, depends on what you want.

Him: I can buy a Squire Strat for that much.

Me: Yep.

Him: can you beat their price.

Me: I don’t make Squire Strats.
