woodpicker 3

video here .http://www.cigarboxnation.com/video/woodpicker-with-scots-pickups-and-wooden-bigsby?xg_source=activityscott ( aka farmer ted). gifted me a pair of his hot buttered maple pickups , so i figured i needed to do a wood theme guit . and here it is . complete with wooden bigsby type tremolo . it works great , but creaks some times .. nothing a lil veggie oil wont fix ;-)5 way switch , because there is a hidden humbucker in-between his pickups too. (yes under the lid, and works fine through the wood . )yummy pups man , thanx again ;-)

glad i  can  inspire  you  bjorn  ;-)

and this  isnt  my  regular swamp witch    design  so  i'm ok with   you   giving it a whirl  on   your  version.  ,

note  .  the  bottom  wood  bar  on the  tremolo   is  hiding  a  clothes   hanger  wire  for the  strings  to  ride  over  ..  otherwise  the  strings would  dig in     and /or  rip  off the  wood  pole  .  there is alot of    tension there . just a tip  for ya .

and  jeff  ,  feel  free to  make a poster  .    you  have  4  pics to choose  from  .  ;-)

thanx for the kind  comments  guys

    ;-)

  • That is one incredible looking instrument!!!! I may have to make a poster of it. There are alot of good looking things on this site but this may be my favorite. Would love to see a video of it so we can get the tone you have created. Rip it up man, shred some Van Halen or Stevie Ray and be heard by the world!!

  • Oh My! Superb, and very tempting to copy! I've been busy with non-cbg things for a while, but now I realy got inspired.

  • thanx  for the  kind words  sirs  . ;-)

  • That's a fantastic build pick! Homemade whammy! That's very cool! Thanks for the info about the pup under the top, that's something I've gotta try.

  • thanx uncle  john ..    this one involved some head scratching  ..  ;-)
