The beauty of cedar is its pronounced grain, and sometimes you’re lucky enough to have structurally sound knots too. The top is a bit thick for tonewood, but it’s easy to rout out for a pickup or two, and the 32mm sides are just enough to permit a top-mounted jack socket. Moreover, the heft of the body gives the whole thing a really nice balance- cigar boxes are often too light, and CBGs tend to be neck-heavy imho. I’ll add a 25” scale neck and a humbucker to each of these and bring ‘em back to the gallery in a few weeks!

Man those are just fantastic!!!!
those bodies are really awesome!
Those look great. I like cedar and the proportions here. If not to thick, cedar is a great tone wood.
