The fingerboard is made of European oak with fifteen 1.5mm silver nickel frets. The 3mm inlay dots glow in the dark; a quirky feature that just might prove helpful while sitting out playing round the fire at night.

Joe, if you are happy with the bolt, that is the main thing. I like the way bolts keep the strings in place and even though some 'experts' say bone is the best-- it seems to me the bolts transfer the sound very well.

Cheers fellas. Nah the bolt is staying I'm afraid. To me it looks mint. It's got great acoustic tone and volume. I was quite surprised really when I put it all together. I do know what you mean though Uncle John I've only recently started to experiment and think about different ways to do the saddle and bridge.
Really cool one, Joe! Uncle John's suggestion about a bridge/saddle could help make it 'disappear', for certain. On some builds, I just like the simple, roots-inspired look of bolts, eye bolts and such. With some of the more intricate details of this build (like the headstock! and the box body), John's suggestion is sort of appealing to me. But I'm sure she plays great as is! Well done!
Great overall look, Joe. Love the headstock. Glow in the dark inlays!!! Joe, for me it's a near ten except the saddle. For me, the saddle lags behind the rest. Maybe a new one with a small screw set in wood and painted as close to the plate color as you could? Not sure on that.
