The Ghirardelli can is about 1.5" thick so a 1" dowel Diddley bow was the choice over a guitar of any sort. Dowel is flush with lid, two screws. I cut tabs in the bottom of the box and folded out, screwed them to the neck closest to player. The bridge is a small drawer pull from Hobby Lobby. They come 4 to a bag for a few bucks. I used rubber adhesive bumpers on the feet to keep it in place. Note: with a higher bridge, one could conceivably play this instrument cello-style with a cotton-yarn and flexible wood bow as described elsewhere on my page and cigarbox nation (look for "build your own rebec fiddle").
