Harmony H1270, early 60's, all mahogany, awesome tone acoustic or amped. Found it on Craigslist, needs neck reset, but great slide axe for now.

The bridge on my Oahu had been shaved down to lower the action, so it could stay as is. The previous owner played it like a round neck and fretted it with his fingers. I've raised the action up for lap slide. The old saddle was shaved down to a tooth pick height. Odd to use a square neck as a bottleneck slide. Each to his own. Your all Mahogany is awesome. I'm sure it is a tone monster. Keep on sliding Blind. ...
Yep, the fellow I got it from had it as a 6 string because of the missing tuner hardware. Hard to see in my pic, but the bridge has a raised section of wood that when placed before the saddle the strings would be touching it at the correct scale length, so I turned the assembly around. This pic was taken minutes after the restring, so I do plan on fooling around with the bridge and may find the string contact not being an issue.
I could see the ghost of the old bridge there. Yours is turned around with the saddle on the bottom. Nothing wrong with that. I've had an old Mexican 12 string that i played for years as a lap slide. It's volume made it a good conversion. I just strung 6 strings to give the neck a break.
Thanks Dave, the rooster is happy!! Tailpiece is original, bridge is not. The 1270 has a dual saddle bridge which is suppose to add additional tone & volume to the axe. It's very loud as is, I need to find an OE bridge or make one, I have the specs.
