Two for dough...one for show

On left, 4 string with hand made bolt on maple & rosewood neck, 25.5" scale, two hand wound single coil pups with maple top bobbins, toggle switch. Tuned ADF#BOn right, 3 string with hand made bolt on maple neck, 24.75" scale, two hand wound single coils with maple top bobbins, toggle. I replaced the tattered original cigar box top with a one-piece cherry top. Tuned GDgThese two are for a repeat client (will be her 3rd & 4th).Middle is a baritone 26" scale electric mojo stick (strum stick). One-piece cherry top, one-piece walnut back, maple neck-sides-tail.The rosewood plate in front of bridge is a concealed (in box permanent) hand wound single coil pup. Volume & tone w/ chicken head knobs on the side.Tuned GDg

    In fact, the other two cbg's were built for a return customer who bought a different pair last year. But looks like she's unable to round up the cash for either. One on right is on Ebay too, the one on left, I may keep.

  • on average I get around 15 secs of sustain before sound fades

  • haven't compared...done both styles (top load/thru-body). My sustain level is more likely from using a semi-solid maple core in the box for attaching the bolt-on necks...plus I use threaded brass inserts for bolting on the necks
