Here are some pics of a handmade instrument from Thailand. It looks like a fretless strum stick of some sort. It is about three inches wide at the body and about 28 inches long. An interesting feature is the inlaid soundboard. The soundboard appears to be made of bamboo and is laid over the top of a hollowed out area. I put a temporary bridge under the strings and it is pretty loud. (May be a good idea to try out on a cigar box guitar build.)Does anybody out there know what this instrument is?
