Scooby Doo lunchbox 3 stringer. 32 1/4" scale, fretted, walnut fretboard, cherry neck, maple heel, piezo in the bridge w/ volume, tuned EBE (Tiki Troy tuning). It's apparently Shaggy's lunchbox as it is HUGE, 9" x 13" so I went with a looooooong scale. Sorry for the dark pics but we don't have much sunshine here. I'll get some better pics when it gets nicer.

Hey Thanks James! It has that banjo vibe to it, I guess I would compare it to a really big baritone banjo. The Scooby lunchbox that I thought belonged to Shaggy now I'm thinking Fat Albert as it is gigantic, most lunch boxes are 7 1/2" x 6" and the Scooby box is 9" x 13" so it's a lot of space to resonate from. To compensate for the huge box and make the git proportional I made the scale really looooong at 32 1/4". I'm already on the hunt for another Scooby lunchbox to build a matching amp :-)
There you go Ron :-) I'm already on the hunt for more Scooby stuff (or snacks). I did love the Scooby Doo cartoons when I was young, kinda brings back those Saturday morning of long ago. Thanks Ron, it was a fun build.
Nice one! I may have to send you the Mystery Machine lunchbox I've got kick'in around here so you can do continue with a whole series of Scooby Doo guits. Maybe a Daphne one next ;)

This looks great! I was thinking of building using a lunchbox myself; does it sound more banjo-like as a result of having a metal body?
