Rockin Roaster 10

Rockin Roaster is finished. Very good resonance and tone. The angel food cake tin worked very well for the resonator chamber. Nice low action for playability, and plugged in.....well, it ROCKS!!!!! Guess what the resonator chamber cover is????

    Cheers for that Hal but the English climate means a dire shortage of ceiling fans here but I do know what you mean by the tin, we call them rum baba tins, all the best, Chris. :)

    Ceiling fan motor housing cover is correct, Anonymous Pick. Sorry, you didn't win the guitar. Just knowing you are the smartest guy in the world should be enough. LOL. I actually got the idea for the Rockin Roaster from Shamus (see YouTube). He is a wizard making resonator guitars. An angel food cake tin is a thin aluminum pan about 5" deep, and 10" in diameter, with a cone coming up the middle. Makes a perfect resonator cone and you can find these at flea markets for a couple bucks. (need to be ONE PIECE TINS) There is a two piece version where the center cone comes out, but it doesn't resonate like the one piece.
