I might have gotten here a bit late to help out Lonman, but you can get sheets of pickguard material from "grizzly.com", it's a tool supplier, but the owners into building guitars, and of course "stewart mac" has sheets of pickguard material as well. I got mine at grizzly because it was thinner than stew's, or some dang reason... Drumwrap material is alot thinner and isn't layered from what i've seen. I think i paid around $40 total for the sheet.
Cheers mate - i was given a bit of pearloid sheet - but i would not know where to buy it from - it's propper use was for a new outer skin on a drum kit - i guess you could try a music store but it may be cheaper to buy a Stratocaster pearloid scratch plate and use that to make your parts from - other than that try ebay
awesome. That's funny, I am going to make my own truss rod cover too, just need to decide on the material. I wonder where one could get pearloid plastic at in the USA (like a hobby store or something) Thanks for sharing!
