Today's delivery. Another cool Teisco relic arrived. I love the control plate. I'll use a pretty hardwood to replace this broken plastic plate. The body is Mahogany laminate 8 layers. The neck is solid except the head has a little crack.

Hey Pick, i've found i've got the right pickup for her too. Exactly like your foil. They are the original "flatpup", no offense Elmar.... twice as thick as Elmar's. This baby's coming together....
Wow, thanks Pick, I wondered which pickup to try on her. I've got the right bridge. I made the plate today and like it. It's out of Tiger Maple. I ran the grain crisscross for strength. It looks cool like that too. Your Zenon is beautiful indeed. Thanks again. I'll show my plate tomorrow.....
I've been sanding her for my day. Got her stripped down good. Most scratches gone, just big dings left and edges sanded to the light colored Mahogany. I ran out of varnish, so that will wait till tomorrow. I've made a template for the missing part of the control plate. I've got some nice wood for the replacement. A metal plate would be awesome, but that's beyond my tools and experience. Wood's my thing...
