Wes, my side dots are little scewers drilled in. Mine are messy as the bit slid toward the oak in each hole. Not real pretty, but they work. I couldn't put anything on the Ebony top of the board. It looks so elegant plane. I've got cigar bands too. I long to use them. I need courage.
Thanks Jim, Bluesheart. I got the position dots in today. She,s a sweet player. The elegant Ebony fingerboard is slick. Nice for slide work. A slider banjo is new to me. Wes, you are to blame. Jim's trade banjo is the seed.
Thanks Wes, Maddog. I went with a fretless to try it out. It plays good with my pinkie slide on. I'm going to mark the fingerboard this morning. I need some marks to play the high notes.
