Preamp with Smokey mini amplifier 01

Belcat preamp has a mini jacksocket for signal and ground in.4 wires out red live, black(part bare) signal ground, yellow 9v battery +, white battery -I wired the battery - together with the signal ground to the ground on the jacksocket. 2 separate on/offs one for preamp,one for miniamp.
