My first attempt at making a single pole single coil pickup for a diddley bow. Any suggestions on which type of wax to pot it with? I was thinking an old candle and some bee's wax would work.

Hey, Vern. You've been posting some nice diddley stuff lately. This looks like a very good start on pickup making I appreciate your dedication to the ol' one string. :)
If you'd accept a suggestion, I'd say think about a homemade humbucker, too. Basically just two of what you have here, placed side to side and wired appropriately with one magnet reversed. Here is a link I've used to make these with my method:
