  Steve, I should probably have just left it as nice or cool build ~ which it certainly is.  If the metal does not have a protective coating, apple cider vinegar may work to age or patina it.  Works on wood too.

  I like it too, but speaking as someone who loves relics, The git looks old and the metal parts look new.  A little patina on that cool sound hole surround and the other metal would age it nicely.
