    Sorry I didnt get back to you sooner Ted Thompson. The wood I used is black walnut with a 3/16" brass rod crazy glued into a groove then beveled on both sides. The brass dots are 1/8" rod. Thanks.

    I like it!  Simple but elegant design and looks very functional.   What wood did you use?
