    I think you made a good decision on the slot. Your sturdy head looks just right. Very organic sculpture.

    Definitely will try a slotted headstock on a future build. I considered trying it on this build, but decided to hold off. I didn't want to get too ambitious & risk destroying the headstock.

    A slotted head might work better but I have seen this string to the side idea before.
