When I first saw this piece of timber on eBay, I just had to have it- the central knot-hole would look great as a soundhole I thought. And imho it does. Mind you, this git got largely made, and then set aside months ago because I’d really messed up the butt end and couldn’t face fixing it. Then I needed something ‘light’ to be doing when my back was improving, so... Under that solid iron chest handle is a right kludge of wood and glue, but it now works- and how! As above, this is NOT tonewood, this is quarter-inch English oak; add in the good-looking but totally ineffective “sound”hole and a quarter-pound of iron, and you get almost no resonance at all. It’s like playing a solid-bodied electric- and that’s where the copper wickedbucker comes in. This is strung much lighter than the acoustic, and plays like a dream, despite the longish (26”) scale. This one I’m NOT giving away- but I am perfectly willing to sell it. Indeed, a good friend of mine built me a website for my recent birthday, and it is likely that this will feature front and centre when it goes live. However, no reasonable offer would be refused...
