  • Hi, Roy, here's the parts list for what I build:

    - box

    -knob

    -grill cover

    -22  awg wire

    -0ne 220uF 35v electrolytic capacitor

    - one 8 ohms 3" 0.7w or higher speaker

    - one LM386N-3 amp chip

    -9v battery

    - 9v battery connector terminal

    - one 2.2K resistor

    -one LED lamp 3mm-5mm

    - two DPDT toggle switches (on/off   6 lugs)

    - one 2K ohms volume pot

    - one 1k ohms tone pot

    - one 1/4" mono jack

    - one mini auto fuse holder (1/4" x 1 & 1/4")

    - one 1/2Amp 1/4" x 1 & 1/4" glass in-line fuse

I'm sorry I don't have a schematic that I can send, but the book I mentioned earlier has everything you need, and will be worth the investment to help you troubleshoot your build.

Be patient, it took a lot of tries to get it to work for me, but then again, I was new to all this. One thing I did find out, you gotta get the fuse right!

  • Hi Tim
Can u send me the parts list for this build? And is that a stereo or mono input 1/4" jack?
I have both, plus all variety of caps, resistors , LED's and pots
Looking at your breadboard can you send a drawing schematic along too?
This is cool stuff. I have everything I need including the breadboard
    Thanks
    Roy
