Replaced the festy old Bench top that was here when I bought the place. It had old vinyl flooring stapled to the top with some sort of gummy substance underneath. Laminated Pine bench top and ply backing board, finished with tinted Penetrol (4 coats). Will replace the also festy masonite doors with ply as well.

Hasnt exploded yet... got so much on at the moment havnt got back to it more than tension strings. Its fermenting at the moment. All its parts are coming to terms with each other to create something greater than the sum of them. (Thats my excuse and I'm sticking to it - I did Art College so I can make up any random excuse and name it part of the 'creative process') lol.

I hear that not exploding is considered a very promising sign in the making of any guitar. You are obviously on to a winner with this.

Looking very good. Almost too good to work on. How's the guitar holding up?
