    Yes I have seen them like that.  I wanted to try something different just to see how it would work and look. Thanks for the feedback.

    i use eyebolts on some builds and found out if you put the eyes on the left side of the headstock, as you tune the strings the pull of the strings will tighten the wing nut and keep the guitar in tune much better.
