I had a hell of a time figuring out how to attach the neck. I removed all of the interior and JB Welded in hardwood flooring, and the neck is screwed and glued to the shell and the hardwood. The result is wonderfully sturdy, and the guitar still sits nicely. The neck and fretboard are both reclaimed oak trim boards from Habitat. The fretboard is stained using vinegar and steel wool solution.
