Macanudo inside

Inside the Macanudo Crystal Cafe. Shows cut away used on the neck to hopefully increase resonance. Sounds good to me.

  • Hi Pinkie. Sorry for the very delayed response. I've been off the board for awhile. I do think that it makes a difference cutting away under the soundboard. It has nice resonance. I didn't use a piezo or other pickup, it's just straight acoustic. I modeled it after Sean's "Chugger". It's been a year now since I made this CBG and it has become my favorite.

  • Now that it's been finished for a while how do you like the resonance of this guitar with the neck dished out like that? Do you think it made it louder and that the results were worthwhile? Also, is this acoustic only, or did you add a piezo? If so, where did you locate it? Sorry about all the questions, but I picked up a couple of Macanudo Crystal Cafe boxes a while back and have been seriously thinking of doing something similar with at least one of them ever since finding these pics of yours.
