Built for a local book store owner for his son-in-law for Hannakuh. Beautiful box which sounds great. Hacked off a potato masher for sound hole cover because it reminded me of medieval lute tone hole covers of ivory and wood. The ears on the head stock are pieces of cherry left over from construction on my building. Because of some slight warping from cutting into the box for the neck, I glued the top and bottom together so had to provide rear access for the electronics. The people who commissioned this are in ecstasy. I have received 3 more commissions from people who have seen pictures of this cigar box guitar. As Jimi said: 'they had the guns, but we had the gitars (and the best cigars and other stuff to smoke!)
