M&M tin acoustic

3 string acoustic, 23" scale, built for a friend who collects M&M stuff. I am betting he does not have one of these. Used M&M colors and for you trivia folks, violet was an original color and was replaced in 1949, so I thought it was fitting to use violet in his initials on the peghead and at the 12th fret. No springs, I put soundholes on the left and right sides. sounds pretty good.

  • thanks UJ, I had fun with this, I tried new ideas. The initials on the peg head is clay that I filled the area and applied an iron on 1 setting for 8 minutes to harden. worked just fine. dots are clay as well, baked in oven. I like using clay dots. First time using eyebolts for the string retainer, had I planned better I would have only used 2 and used a nail or something with them but I was not paying attention and placed the eybolts in the middle of the string path. Silly me.. I did buy some Gitty metal flat retainers, looking forward to using them in the future.I want to make a video of this one this weekend.

  • That is quite nice.   I like your stuff, Lonman.
