  I'm going to say the strings from the bridge to the tailpiece are the goatee and the tailpiece is the devil's tail. I really like how he did the strings, too. I might steal that idea

  This very clever. The sunburst outlines a face with the horns continuing it off the box. The tailpiece is either a goatee or tail.
