Just strung this one up this afternoon and I am quite pleased with it.
Coahoma County Mississippi is the home of Robert Johnson's cross roads and the HOME OF THE BLUES. And we all know what the blues led to.

GDGB tuning (open G) using the center 4 strings from an electric 6 string set. 3 frets up high to make easy C, D and Em chords. Set up to slide easy and also do the finger chords and walks.

Ho-made pine box. Oak neck and finger board. Gitty bucker in the neck position above the box.

This is a Christmas gift for a young playing and building friend who recently turned 13. He likes my Iowa LPG and this is quite similar to that one.

Thanks, Carl.  Yup, bucker cover flush with the plate.  I did not want to cut into the plate and I iike the sound of a neck mount pickup.

Had to check this out after I saw the video.

What a great gift. I too enjoy giving them away and maybe inspiring someone.

Neat trick with the Gitty bucker. Is it flush with the rest of the fretboard?

You are right, Doug. I had not really noticed that.

Thanks, AGP. It really is a great plate.

Thanks, Denbo. I really liked the gits you kept. Good selections and 'weeding out.'

Thanks Jerry. I think the pic does not do it full justice. Red fret lines for 5, 7 and 12 and red side markers spot on 3,5,7 and 12.

Thanks, Bob. I think he will have fun with it. I hear he is getting a Yamaha acoustic electric and a practice amp. I will likely give it to him early.

Eye-catcher of a build Unc J!  Cool theme. That plate pops out. Nice colour to the body and neck.  He's going to have fun playing that.

A Very Nice LPG 'UJ', excellent job of maintaining the integrity and clean lines of a Very Nice Plate,  and also a Very Nice Gesture to gift it to your 13 yr old friend. :-)

Clean lines! The white bridge visually disappears, so the letters aren’t obstructed and it looks great!

Also pictured is a Dave Lynas black cat slide.  This guitar was never (to my knowledge) played by Slim Whitman.
