Thanks Kale! I like the aesthetic proportions on most cigar boxes better than that of a typical license plate, so I figured this approach was worth a try. It will be my “go to” guitar for the time being.
The idea is not completely original Alan. I’ve seen Telecaster style electric guitars with angle license plate pickguards and thought they looked pretty cool. Turns out I can do the same kinda thing on a cigar box. A 23” scale length neck has become my go to; not too long and not too short.

Glad you like it Uncle John! I have not seen it done on a cigar box guitar. The first cut was the hardest, after that, no problem.
That is great. Don't think I have seen it done before.
Do you have a license to do this kind of thing?

Very nice Doug.

Definitely a different take on a License Plate Guitar, and nice to see another 23" Scale Build :-)
Glad you like my different take on a license plate guitar BrianQ! I agree on the bridge, easier to do on a smooth surface.
Kool, like that cutout, the bridge would have warped sitting atop the plate eventually, so you saved yourself on this one!
