Here's my next victim. 60's Kingston arch top. Haven't tested the pups, but they look good so far. Just got this FedX today off ebay. I like these models with the control plate that let you into the body without going through the f holes.

This one is coming together nicely. I've got several alternatives for plate wood. I'm leaning toward a dark Tiger Maple. The cream top hat knobs I have will look nice on that. I still need a switch for her. The example i saw has a toggle switch. I'll see what i can find in that direction.
I've had good luck with a replacement spring off ebay. I have an original Bigsby. (sp?) spring. It's the right height. This holder is rather open. I think it will work. If not, i'll take the bar off for now and run it springless. I've used a nylon lined nut and two nylon washers on the other trem i fixed. It works good. Right now this trem is all sloppy and the arm swings around too easy. Those nylon washers and nut allow movement but not loose.
Pick, i'm closing in on her. Varnish is close to done. Parts start going back on tomorrow. Plates to make as well as a bridge. It snowed this afternoon again... My Spring is missing... Whammy!
I've just got her sanded and wooled. First coat of wipe on Poly on the back. She still shows her old checks in thin black lines. She's got a couple of puckered checks too where the ply is slightly delaminated at the check and it humps up. If i sand it flush it will eat into the sunburst and leave a wide wood lines instead. I just leave them alone. She'll be nice and soft and smooth, just a little puckered here and there... "o" She looks nice naked... "0"
