Homemade box

So when we find cigar boxes they often come with thin pieces of wood that are supposed to fill empty space, cover, or assist in the display of the contents.  One I recently encountered was just under 1/8 inch thick and I thought "why let this go to waste?"  So I built a box and made the thin fill piece the top surface of a new instrument. 23 inch GDg, generally poplar body and neck, oak fretboard.  I stained the body and non-fretboard neck with a minwax "gunstock" finish, then several passes of spray shellac. Miscellaneous "Gitty" bitties for fixings.
