My 14 year old son made this. A Diddley bow with an old computer speaker as a pickup and a pretty cool tuner. We dont have any output jacks, so we used a headphone plug and connect that to a female to male cable to plug into the amp. This was his first build. I think he did great. It sounds pretty mean.

Hi I hope you are still here after four years I have just adjusted my own lap diddley bow similarly to this.I never thought to place a piece of wood directly on top of the pick ups.I have two earphone pickups on mine and have put a large 20mm cylindrical piece of wood on top of them.Acoustically the sound has improved and also through my amp.Will have to get rid of the screeching sound from my distortion amp to find out further though.Thanks.
