The first tutorial on cbg making I watched about 10 years ago was a channel called NighthawkInLight. I always named this style the Nighthawk. I used New Zealand Pine for this even though it should be some kind of hardwood. Oddly enough I did not attempt to make this one relicd, I was going for a clean look and just kept making mistakes during the building process. It got dinged up and sanded through on some points. It sounds good but not quite the sound I was going for. Back to the drawing board. These are neat because he uses nails for the frets and eyebolts for the tuners. Everything but the strings can be purchased with one trip to the hardware store assuming you're not using an actual Cigar box. It's right up there with the Uncle Crow design. I think that's all around the best cbg design ever. Crow nailed it with the ease of building it and obtaining the parts. Also with the short amount of time it takes to build it. Funny the Nighthawk and Crow are both bird names.
