  • Beautiful!

  • Thanks for all the details.  It is always interesting to hear the history of the build.

  • That is one good looking CBG!!!!!!!!!!

  • I was on Youtube and saw a guitar made by this guy called Junksville Guitars.  I really liked the look of it so I went to work on building one similar to his.

Body and neck are made from Maple I bought at the local builder's store (Lowes)  Fret board I bought from CBGitty, slotted, not fretted.  It is Peruvian Walnut. Frets are medium/medium stainless steel.  All fret work was done off the board. Tail piece is a Mandolin style from Gitty . Tuners are from Gitty halfmoon style.  Walnut piece on the back of the neck is scarf jointed and was made from a left over piece of American Walnut I had laying around for 25 years.  I machined the knobs for the tone and volume.  With the big cone from Old Lowe, the standard diameter knobs seems a bit big.  Maple on the body was stained with Minwax Provincial and maple on the neck was left natural. I used Minwax wipe on gloss poly.  I stained the edges of the body 2x, then stained the rest of the body so the edges would be darker.  Nut and saddle are bone, biscuit bridge is more American Walnut.  The back of the body is removable to get to the internal parts and the neck is removable by taking out 5 screws. ( 4 up through the body and 1 through the heel)  Body is 1/4" thick Maple.  Body dimensions are 12 3/8" x 8" x 2 1/4".  I guess that's it as far as the details ..........if you have any questions, feel free to ask.

    Cheers,

    Bill
