Comment by Dave Lynas on October 11, 2019 at 11:03pm: I’ve been using watercolor lately. Tube watercolor mixed thin washes on easily and dries in an hour or so. Light sanding then rub on varnish. I may dirty up the red with oil paint wash later. It’s not hobo colors yet. Needs a patina.
