Thanks guys. It is an Emerson cigar box. I removed the top and raised and angled the new top to (in theory) make easier bowing. The top is arched. I am not sure how good or bad it is. Bowing just one string is still tricky. It sounds okay when I play okay. Real viola strings on it.

What’s a mater Unc. Cat’s got your strings? Three string? Did you round the fingerboard and arch the bridge so you can play each string separately? You might want to remove a string. 2 doesn’t require arched bridges.
