You are correct, John. This guitar seems to not have been played. Interesting things about this guitar: It's neck is wide , 1 3/4 inch at the nut and 2 1/4 inches at the 14th fret , where the neck meets the body. It's fretboard looks like it was sanded against the grain with 60 grit . Some of the frets were leveled with something equally abrasive . As I suspected and a luthier assured me , this is factory work . This guitar has a contoured board running inside the top, for the entire length of the body of the guitar, to give it the arch top . Final fact about this guitar: I love it for being what it is .
