  • Ha!   What a great treatment for the bone and nut.

  • I just use the type like for soldering copper pipe.  Cheap and easy and I like what it's done to the fret wire.  I also boiled the bone for the saddle and zero bone in old coffee grounds.

  • I almost bought a propane torch.   May do so yet.  Like that.  I am kind of in a fretless stage, but there is so much to scorch.
