Grandma’s Cigar Box

Finished in the nick of time for Christmas. 1933 cigar box, sound hole was inspired by the artwork on the lid, mahogany neck, walnut fretboard and bridge.

I was concerned because I had to brace up the inside of the box a bit, it was out of square and had some twist. I also went with a dovetail joint on the neck so it doesn’t have the extra wood there for support. It wanted to be tuned DADG, didn’t like any of the others. I forgot to mention in the description that it’s sporting a tapered neck. 1 1/8” at the nut to 1 5/8” at the 22nd.
