  • Make a back out of black Perspex - if it needs power you could mount an off-the-shelf EQ unit in the back, leaving the body original.  Are the switches still on the front ?

  • Yes it is one of 1000 build but no board or back or power supply, so may need a bug mod to be useable

sounds cool though unplugged...kind of metalic

  • That's interesting - good luck restoring that.  If the pups don't work it should be easy enough to buy a strat copy set and stick them in without damaging the guitar body.  I'd be wary of making any permanent modifications as it looks like quite a rare thing.

  • Nearly just fixing it Pick ....
    Lol
  • Unless anyone has a spare mother board for one
Lying around , back panel and power supply ?
    (rare as unicorn do doos)
  • is  it in the mail  to  me  yet ?

    :-)

  • Yes they were, the company folder after making about 1000
This one is 690 approx and looks like it may have had board
Borrowed to replace one. This one was from the close of the factory
my friend has connectiona to the family and has had it in his
    Garage for a while.
I strung it last night and you can get a very very low
    Action on it.
It has a kind of metallic sound
I made a quick vid so may post later.
    The pups feel magnetic so
    Will try and rewire to
    A jack
    Socket
  • Were these made in the Highlands of Scotland?  I think I know a friend of a friend of a friend of mine that used to work at the factory if this is the guitar that I am thinking about. Interesting and cool design.
